| Wasp Control London |
Wasp control in London is a very serious issue, but if you search for “London wasps” on the internet, you will probably get a lot of stuff on the rugby team. Do not be disheartened though, if you suspect there is a wasps nest nearby there are people who will help.
All wasps require to build a nest is a dry, relatively warm place such as a loft or basement, and they will thrive. Houses, apartment blocks, pubs - wasps can nest just about anywhere. If you do suddenly find you have a lot of wasps near your residence than the chances are there is a wasps nest close by, and you should contact professional pest controllers as soon as possible. Wasps are not just a problem in the countryside, so wasp control in London is very important.
Before calling them out, however, it is a good idea to make sure that it is a wasp problem that you have, and where the nest is. The distinguishing features of a wasp and a bumblebee is quite obvious, as bumblebees are a lot rounder and hairier. A honeybee, on the other hand, looks quite similar to a wasp and it can be hard to tell the difference. Honeybees are a bit hairier than wasps, they are also a slightly different colour, orange and brown rather than black and yellow like a wasp. Without a side-by-side comparison though, it can be difficult for an untrained eye to differentiate them. One pretty sure-fire way of making the distinction, however, is by noticing if they swarm. You will often see bees swarming around their nest, whereas you will hardly ever see a swarm of wasps. Except, that is, when someone has blocked the entrance to their nest. That is not a good idea, by the way, because the wasps will simply chew their way out again so it does not solve the problem.
If you do actually have a bee problem, then you should contact a local beekeeper who will come and relocate the colony. Bees tend not to be destroyed because they are so valuable to the ecology of the country. Wasps on the other hand, although keeping the population of other pests down to a certain extent, are one of the worst kinds of pest to have around themselves so their nest is eradicated when it is found. Before contacting wasp control in London, however, it would be a good idea to identify the area that the wasps nest is located. You might not be able to find the wasps nest directly, but if you can find the entranceway to their nest that would be helpful to the wasp controllers. As already mentioned, wasps don’t swarm so it might prove difficult to find, but you should be on the lookout for any small opening that wasps are coming and going from constantly. Every few seconds a wasp will either be entering or leaving.
There is an essential need for wasp control in London, and if you suspect that you know an area where there is a nest then it is definitely a good idea to get pest controllers to come and deal with it. If you do not, then towards the end of summer more wasp queens will be bred, which means more nests for the next season.
